''A sensitivity to the world that is overwhelmingly experienced as a burden rather than a gift''

Hi, I'm Matt

Welcome—I’m really glad you’re here. I’d like to introduce myself and share a bit about how I work as a therapist.

I offer online existential psychotherapy to adults across the UK. My approach is warm, grounded, and deeply human—I see therapy as a shared journey, where we walk side by side, guided by trust, presence, and honest reflection. Whether you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply questioning where you are in life, I aim to offer a space that welcomes your experience without judgement or labels.

Therapy that meets you where you are

I work especially well with people who have felt out of step with traditional therapy. Perhaps you’ve had unhelpful or even harmful experiences with medicalised mental health systems, or you’ve felt pathologised for simply feeling deeply. You might identify as neurodivergent, highly sensitive, creative, or simply unsure of how to fit into the world around you.

Whatever brings you, my commitment is to be with you—genuinely—with no agenda other than to explore what’s true and meaningful for you.

My approach is existential, non-pathologising, and relational.

As an existential psychotherapist, I believe your experiences—whatever they are—make sense within the context of your life. I don’t see people as problems to be solved, but as human beings trying to navigate uncertainty, pain, and meaning in a world that often asks us to hide who we really are.

Rather than focusing on symptoms or diagnoses, we explore how you relate to the world, others, and yourself. Together, we make space for your questions, contradictions, and depth—at your pace, in your language.

A little about my background

I’ve been practising since 2008, with over 16 years of post-qualification experience supporting individuals through complex emotional experiences, existential distress, grief, trauma, and identity struggles.

I’ve worked in GP surgeries, NHS cancer and palliative care services, and in private practice with a wide range of people—including those living with anxiety, burnout, emotional sensitivity, creative overwhelm, and the quiet disillusionment of feeling like therapy “should” have worked, but didn’t.

Online therapy from Bromley, working with clients across the UK

Although I’m based in Bromley, all sessions are currently offered online, making this work accessible wherever you are in the UK. Online therapy can be just as powerful and personal as meeting in a room—it offers flexibility while still creating a consistent, grounded space for exploration.

——I’m grateful you’ve taken the time to be here. I hope what comes across is that I care deeply about this work. It’s an honour to walk alongside people as they reconnect with themselves, especially when things feel uncertain or unclear.

— Take a look around and see if something resonates. Trust your instincts. If it feels right, we can arrange an initial meeting to see if we’re a good fit. Ultimately, this is your path—and I trust that you’ll know what’s right for you.
